There are a couple of different locations where you can do so, other than checking out books at the local library or searching online.
Castaic Lake Water Agency
The CLWA offers free landscape education workshops on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. You'll learn everything from propagation to pruning.
College of the Canyons
Low-cost classes are available through the community extension program. Everything from California Native Gardening to Edible Gardening.
Golden Oak Adult School
Made available to SCV residents by the William S. Hart School District, these classes are typically under $50--with no registration fee.
