Located in the main hospital lobby, Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Health Foundation’s Donor Wall is one of the very first and last things people see when entering and leaving the hospital.
Now, due to the generous donation of Lawrence Joselowsky, owner of Surfaces USA, the Foundation is pleased to announce that a second granite Donor Wall has been installed to recognize donors for their special gifts to the hospital and their commitment to a healthy community.
“The philanthropic support of our donors is vital to ensuring patient needs are met with specialized equipment, programs, and resources that otherwise might not be possible,” said Diana Vose, Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Health Foundation president “We are pleased that we need an additional Donor Wall to recognize those who invest in Henry Mayo. And because Lawrence’s generosity is overwhelming and deeply appreciated, it is his name and that of his daughters and Surfaces USA that will be the first donor plaque installed on the new Donor Wall.”
Community support is the province of the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Health Foundation, whose mission is raising important funds for the hospital’s capital needs, supporting community-hospital partnerships, fostering volunteerism and encouraging positive community awareness of vital healthcare services.
“People give to the Foundation for many reasons,” Vose stated. “Many times it’s in recognition of the care they or a loved one received. They also believe their gifts help to promote better healthcare in their community. And they’re absolutely right.”
Burke Pinto and Lawrence Joselowsky of Surfaces USA generously contributed close to 6000 pounds of Paradiso granite, including fabrication and labor, for the Foundation’s new Donor Wall, measuring 8 ft 11 3/8 in tall by 30 ft 3 ¾ in long.
