J.R.’s Comedy Club Introduction

For those of you who have just for the first time come across an ad for J.R.’s Comedy Club, we are glad to have your attention! J.R.’s Comedy Club has been bringing killer comedy shows to the Santa Clarita Valley for the last ten years. Ten years!

We have been doing shows every Friday and Saturday night inside Marie Callender’s. You will see some of the very best comedians in the country, because they live here in Southern California, and because comedians love to work. And comedians like to work close to home, so you will see comics from The Tonight Show, Letterman, HBO, and even comics who have had their own TV series.

We love comedians, we love comedy and we love you, the audience. That is why we have devoted every weekend for ten years to provide this wonderful little oasis of entertainment in the Santa Clarita Valley. We have kept the prices low, and the quality high. Most weeks you will pay just $12 for the show, with a dinner and the show package starting at $24.99, which is about what you will pay for dinner alone at other restaurants in town.

Occasionally you will see higher profile comedians such as The 3 Blonde Moms, scheduled back in September 2007, or Bobby Collins, who is scheduled to return October 24 and 25. Bobby was the host on VH-1’s Comedy Spotlight for several years, and his award winning CDs can be heard often on the KLOS 5’O Clock Funnies and on XM Radio.

We also have an ongoing Standup Comedy workshop. This is not just for aspiring comedians, but also for regular civilians who just want to improve their speaking skill, stage presence and confidence. The course runs for 6 weeks, includes a one-hour private lesson, and concludes with a graduation performance on stage at J.R.’s. The cost is $350 per six-week session. Our students have had a blast doing this.

We also love birthday parties, Holiday company parties, and our New Years Eve shows are the hottest tickets in town. They sell out every seat every year.

We want you to think of us for all of your entertainment needs. We can also help you with a fundraiser on a Sunday night. You can make as much as $1500 in a night, having the most fun you can imagine inside a Pie restaurant. We can also provide a top notch comedian for your event, at your banquet, or your home.
